MPI Benches / Horizontal Wet Benches

MPI Benches, or Horizontal Wet Benches, are stationary systems used for high-volume, precision Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI). They feature a headstock and tailstock to secure parts and induce both circular and longitudinal magnetic fields. The “wet” process involves a recirculating bath to apply fluorescent magnetic particles, which are viewed under an integral UV light hood to easily locate surface and near-surface defects. These systems are crucial for inspecting large or complex ferrous components with maximum throughput.
