Magnetic Coils

Magnetic Coils are essential tools in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), used in both fixed benches and portable field setups. They consist of a wound conductor that, when energized by a power source, generates a powerful longitudinal magnetic field within the test piece. This magnetic orientation is specifically designed to detect defects, such as cracks or seams, that are transverse (perpendicular) to the coil’s axis. Coils are sized by their inner diameter to accommodate various components, ensuring effective and comprehensive magnetization for inspection.
